Geothink Books

In the final year of the Geothink grant, two books will be published on our collective research findings. Please find the call for submissions for each below.

Locating Power & Justice in the Geoweb
At both the American Association of Geographers (AAG) workshop in Boston this past April and the Annual General Meeting in Montreal this past May, work began on a project-wide book that will focus on mapping power relations and justice in the Geoweb. This edited volume will also include an expanded section on Law/Place and Government.

The call for proposals is attached here and 250 word abstracts are due on Saturday October 7th. Abstracts can be sent to geothink.geog@mcgill.ca

The Future of Open Data
A second edited book is also in the works and the working title is “The Future of Open Data.” The editors are Pamela Robinson and Teresa Scassa.

The call for proposals is attached here with abstracts again due on Saturday October 7th. Abstracts can be sent to pamela.robinson@ryerson.ca
